Enlightening? I think so.

http://wbztv.com/local/obama.aunt.Zeituni.2.1924422.html

This is the direction ALL Americans are going-bot just illegals. What direction am I talking about? I mean feeling entitled no matter the cost to everyone else. Disgusting.

Why is everyone so surprised?

http://www.aolnews.com/surge-desk/article/president-obama-supports-ground-zero-mosque/19593492?icid=main|main|dl1|link3|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aolnews.com%2Fsurge-desk%2Farticle%2Fpresident-obama-supports-ground-zero-mosque%2F19593492

Have you all seen this? I read a lot of the comments on it and people seem surprised. I knew BO's hate towards America couldn't be masked forever. His true colors are showing and have been for a while. I wonder what it will take for people to get it. Not until a bomb with his name on it blows up some monument? Not until he actually says in a speech "I hate America"? And it's not that I'm against a religious group worshiping where they please. We all have that right but in this instance, it really is disrespectful to the people who died there and the families left to grieve. Maybe BO knows he's not going to get reelected at this point and has to do as much damage as possible before his term ends. What a dummy.

08/16/10. Okay, a few days to process and research this a bit more. They aren't actually building on ground zero. It's a few blocks away. My husband made a good point. The OK bombings were done by Christians in the name of religion. Should a Christian church not be built by the bombed area? Not exactly the same thing and I still think it's bad taste but there are other things to be a lot more angry about-for instance the health care bill...

Socialism-doesn't work!

My husband heard this analogy from someone. I think it actually happened but a teacher had a debate with some of his students about socialism and how it doesn't work. The students tried to convince him that it did. The class decided to allow this teacher to try an experiment with them to prove that he was right. He told them one day that they were all going to get the same grade. What he did was average the total grades out and whatever that came out to be, that's what everyone got. Everyone got a "C". I think the message was sent pretty clearly when the students with A's who worked and studied hard for their grades now had to share that grade with an "F" student who did nothing. Of course the F students were happy but now since the A students saw that their hard work was only going to be given to the slacker's, they no longer wanted to bother working for that A. Low and behold, the reason why socialism DOESN'T work! It really is that plain and simple.

Well put Brewer!

This was sent to me in a forward today. It's very simple for all the stupid people out there:

On this point I must agree with our current Governor in AZ. She gets it!!!!
We have a serious problem here in AZ, and the people who oppose the "racial profiling" laws, are really not aware of the problem, or that they are "paying" for, and encouraging, many to "illegals" to stay here, get free food(food stamps), Health care(medicaid), and housing(welfare).. Why should they go home if it is free to stay? Because "MY" Forefathers came into this country the right way... with "legal" papers to prove identity, and were "willing" to follow the "Rules" of this country, and Learn the language! I should NOT have to press 1 for English!

This is a good way to explain things to people that don't understand

The owner of the Phoenix Suns basketball team, Robert Sarver, opposes Arizona's new immigration laws.

Arizona 's Governor, Jan Brewer, released the following statement in response to Sarver's criticism of the new law:

"What if the owners of the Suns discovered that hordes of people were sneaking into games without paying?

What if they had a good idea who the gate-crashers are, but the ushers and security personnel were not allowed to ask these folks to produce their ticket stubs, thus non-paying attendees couldn't be ejected.

Furthermore, what if Suns' ownership was expected to provide those who sneaked in with complimentary eats and drink? And what if, on those days when a gate-crasher became ill or injured, the Suns had to provide free medical care and shelter?"

What's up with California?

These scary occurrences just don't seem to end as far as politics go, do they? It really scares me that a state can fund and take the time to have the people vote on an issue, come to a UNANIMOUS decision (I'm talking what the majority want or I like to call it "the will of the people"), and then one person actually has the power to say "hey, I appreciate everyone that voted and it's nice that you came to a conclusion, but in my opinion, I don't agree with it so the heck with what all you think. I'm throwing it out! Bwahahahahaha!!" Okay, those words weren't said exactly but that's about what happened here. The people of California decided gay, lezbo's, bi's, whatever-do not have the right to "marry." My opinion, I completely agree. You cannot change the definition of marriage. Sorry. You just can't. Now, do I think there should be something for gays to legally bind in order to receive some rights as a unified couple? Well, if I have to compromise with something then okay. It just can't be called marriage because that's not fair to me or billions of other straight couples who find the word and the meaning to be of something sacred and hold it in the highest degree. Don't go trampling our word. I really don't think that's asking too much. Just make up a new word. I know, get an acronym together like GLU (Gays legally unified). I'm not super creative but I'm sure we could come up with something clever.

Okay, back to the disturbing matter. So California says NO! A judge decided everyone was wrong and overturned the voter's decision. Crap-olla is what that is! Even more shocking, that judge is gay! Go figure. Now, I don't care which side you are on as far as your opinion in the matter but typically, whether we agree with the outcome, we have to go with what the majority of the people decide. That's part of what I thought made this country great. Even though there have been times the vote doesn't swing my way- I say that sucks and kick the dirt but I know there is nothing I can do about that. How is it fair that there is a chance when I vote for something, it might not matter? Hmpf! It's all just a little ridiculous, don't you think? That judge was wrong and he should be ashamed of himself.

Should have seen it coming

Of course BO was going to fight SB1070. Hello! SB1070 supported the WILL of the people. We all know BO doesn't like to do anything that most people favor. He is all for being the idiot who ruins everything. Sure, did SB1070 cross the line? Yes. The law itself is not unconstitutional but it is one that should be mandated federally. Although, isn't it not the states right to regulate health care? Look what happened with that! It's all a big joke. This country is one giant mess of a joke is what it is. It frightens me how much the federal government is taking control of and the things their letting slide. What the heck was wrong with SB1070? I don't get it. It's like, if you're a citizen and don't carry ID, proof of insurance, etc. you get penalized-BIG time. But if you're not a citizen, you walk away scott-free even if you destroyed another car. Us, the citizens, are being punished and taking the hit for these illegals who hate us and don't even want to be apart of this country. They just need the money. Which brings me to another point my husband made that was pretty enlightening. So we lose the Mexican workers and have to pay more for a white guy to do the same job. At least now that money is circulating in OUR country and not being sent to Mexico. Right? Grrrrrrrr. Seriously, we've got monkey's running the country. Monkey's people!! If we could get someone in there with half a brain cell, we might be able to piece back what's been destroyed. I'm so scared for my kids.

SB1070

I haven't thought to share my opinion on the new Arizona law. It's not really a bo thing even though he is the reason our state has had to put action to this giant problem. I have to say I fully support it. And also, I am confused why everyone is making it such a big deal. Maybe "everyone" happens to be the illegals or family of illegals who are scared of being deported and/or arrested. I thought it was funny that 3 or 4 people protesting the bill were arrested because guess what, they're illegal. It's not like this "law" is a new thing. Arizona has just decided to to action on the word "illegal". It is illegal to be here if you are not a citizen. End of story. How is it fair that peoples' lives and credit get ruined from an illegal stealing their SS#? How is it fair that if an uninsured illegal totals your car and injures you, you have to pay for it and they get to just walk away? How is it fair that we pay more for our kids' education and for our health care because of the mass population of illegals bombarding both institutions costing us money? How is it fair that the farmers sitting on the boarders deal with illegals crossing through their farms endangering their families and stealing their things? This could go on forever but the problem has got to stop. The federal government should have fixed this a long time ago but they left us no choice. I have no problem with people wanting the opportunity to live in a better (well, we're heading towards 3rd world country but for now, better) place to raise their families but they've got to do it right. They need to blend with US and not hinder our lives. It's just plain not fair and we are trying to change that. So the difference now is we get to ask someone if they are a citizen? So the heck what? Why is that wrong?? Why when someone hits my car, why can't they be asked if they are a citizen? Why when anyone is doing something illegal can we not ask if they are a citizen? I care more about our country than the feelings of an illegal. Just sayin...

"Surely it can't last"

That's what I keep telling myself. The reality of this pathetic excuse we're going around calling a "bill/law" is so beyond my comprehension that I am in denial that it is actually happening. I can't tell you what I hate most about it because the entire thing is so WRONG in a whole, there is not one part that seems more wrong than the other. But, I need to make my list so here goes:

1. It's against the will of the people. That's pretty big. bo has decided to take the role of God and do whatever HE feels is right no matter how many people disagree with it. Guess what, that isn't how America works and you are much closer in personality to Satan then God (just had to say it). Oh, and when I say "bo" in all this, I'm also including all the maggot politicians that are enforcing this bad idea upon all of us as well. I really would hate to leave Nancy out of this. She does deserve some semblance of credit, right? So back to "it's against the will of the people". Now, it's literally more than half of the country disagrees (dems and reps both) and I believe those that do agree, really haven't read the bill or they just follow whatever bo does because their idiots and can't think for themselves. Man, do I sound bitter at all? But seriously? Have any of you had a debate with someone on the opposing side that had any facts or anything relevant to say regarding the health plan? No! They really have nothing to bring to the table. Even bo can't have a good debate with anyone because I don't think he knows what's going on himself or he thinks we're all stupid and won't see the hard evidence of his unethical and illegal activities. Both are bad characteristics to have if you are to govern a country. Ugh!
2. So let's move right in to his unethical activity. If you have to bribe several senator's to vote for this piece of hud, isn't that clue number one that something is just not right? I can't believe it's allowed, to be quite honest. It's absolute crap! The sucky thing is I'm equally mad to the bone heads who took the bribe. I guess anyone can be bought at any price. Integrity is fading from our country and it's killing me because it's what we need most!
3. Is it really fair to continue to tax the wealthy? So they have to pay for their own insurance and then everyone else's? How is that fair or even constitutional? They already pay most of the taxes but here, let's take more-they've got money to spare. I've learned that I never want to make more than $75,000 a year because after that, I have to start giving it all away. How sad is that. Our America-the land of opportunity and success is becoming a country of "do as little as possible to get by and if you can't, no worries, we'll take care of you better than you can take care of yourself! You'll never want to work again!" I'm really scared for my kids.
4. Will put businesses out of business. Small to medium sized businesses will not be able to afford to provide insurance for every employee. That's just ridiculous to expect that. So you're going to tax them more and then expect them to shovel out for insurance. Companies with a small profit margin cannot afford that and then everyone is out of the job. Actually, I see how that's part of the plan. bo has done well at increasing unemployment even though he will try to tell you otherwise. He's very cunning (hmmm, reminds me of someone from down under).
5. How is it constitutional that we will have to start paying a fine because Brian doesn't have insurance? How can they possibly have that right? Brian is super healthy. He has been to the doctor like once our whole marriage and the short time we had insurance for him, he never used it. Has saved us tons. Eventually when we are a little more secure, we'll get him the coverage but don't I live in a free country where I get to make that decision? "Ha ha ha! NOT ANYMORE!!"-that's bo laughing at us.

I feel much better now that I've written this all down. I do have some cute emails I got today to post:

So they just passed a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he didn't understand it, passed by a Congress that exempts themselves from it, signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese.........and better yet it is to be financed by a country that's broke? Repost if you agree.

Grrr. I can't get to all of them right now but I'll post them later.

Surely this can't last...

Hope I don't have to pay for their upgraded home!

So, my biggest frustration lately is real estate. How are people able to buy a second bigger and cheaper home and ditch the one they are in? How is that allowed and how can people feel good about that? When I first heard that people were doing this, my initial reaction was "that is so dishonest and so wrong!" without someone telling me it's wrong. Well guess what, EVERYONE is doing it. Even people I highly regard as good people are taking advantage of this loophole. Sure their credit will be shot but who cares!? They have their bigger home at a smaller monthly payment. Why should anyone stick with a home that isn't worth what they paid? It's the mortgage companies fault anyway. With so many people taking part in this, I'll sit back and have to ask myself "is it wrong? Maybe it's not. Why shouldn't I take advantage. After all, I'm in the hole at least half what I paid for my starter home. It may not be 10 years before I can get out." Luckily, I have some awesome parents and some friends with integrity to remind me that it is wrong. We have been taught that it's wrong in our church. We made the choices and we need to pay our debtors. If we can find a good deal, we will try to invest to even out this debt but this home is our responsibility. Even if we did follow the crowd on this one, we'd have to pay it in the long run and so will our kids. The money just doesn't disappear people. It's just sad we're in a world when you get rewarded for making poor choices and then the rest of us are left in the dust but I have faith someday, probably even now (as my father reminded me) we are and will be blessed for making the right choice. It sucks, but I can't let it get to me and I know everything will work out. I don't want to make people feel bad but there aren't enough people out there saying it's wrong and I feel I need to voice it a little bit.
